Community Involvement

The employees of WCEC are involved in many community events and civic organizations. Below are a few updates displaying how our employees are actively part of the community.

Kenneth Trochta, Warehouse Supervisor was elected as President of the El Campo Lions Club at the installation of officers held June 2011. Andy Orrell, Line Superintendent, was elected as a 2011 director of the El Campo Lions Club.

Blake Lurker, Member Services Rep. routinely gives presentations to Northside Elementary 5th graders covering alternative energy such as solar, wind, water and geothermal. They also discussed the WCEC Solar Water Well display to the children and explained how the entire process worked from the water in the ground to the tank.

Richard Chomout, Director of Member Services was involved in last years Disabled Veterans and American Legion Tractor Pull and Car Show on June 19th, 2010.
